Early on and before most of indie rock had started showing their stripes as Obamaniacs this Democratic primary season, Win Butler took to the internet to let us know how close we all were to fucking up. In an optimistic and gentle nudge, he said:
Barack is the first candidate in my lifetime to strip some of this bullshit away, and I just hope we don’t blow this chance.
